Web update February 2022
I have a couple of pieces of news to share!
-The big one: I’ve just signed a contract with Fairwood Press to publish a new book. My working title is QUATREFOIL, but I’m not sure that will stick. I’m very excited about this story, which takes place in a brand-new world. The book will be out sometime in 2022—at the latest, by World Fantasy Convention, which will take place in New Orleans from November 3-6. The book will be available in print and e-book, in all English-speaking countries. More details as I have them!
-Because the book will be available at WFC, I plan to attend. I’ve already bought my membership and booked my hotel, so this time I really plan on being there! I haven’t been to a con in two years because of the pandemic, so I’m really hoping the situation is stable by then, because I miss conventions so much. I hope I’ll see you there!
-Meanwhile, I have a short story that will be appearing in the noir fantasy/science fiction anthology called No Game For Knights, edited by Larry Correia and Kacey Ezell. That one should be available in September 2022. My story features a shape-shifter named William who makes appearances in two of my Shifting Circle books (The Shape of Desire and Still Life With Shape-Shifter). Here’s the cover art!
-In case you missed it, last summer I brought out two short fiction collections. Shadows of the Past consists of six short stories that have been published online or in anthologies, and one that’s new. Angels and Other Extraordinary Beings includes five previously published novellas. Both are available digitally, but only Shadows is also available in print.
-As always, I hope you’ll follow me on Facebook! Among other things, I draw and post blessings every Monday morning, and it’s a nice way to start the week.
I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy! |
